I was quite impressed by her understanding. It’s neat to see how kids process and then explain information. I’m just wondering where the rest of the cow was.

She comes by it honestly. The conversation was hilarious. ‘Now Haze, the milk comes out of these things. What are they called Daddy?’
‘Right Right. Umpers. So you squeeze them and…’

In the interest of teaching the facts I must share the following wisdom that was imparted on me this morning.
‘…the udder is not where the milk comes out of, that is called a teat. The cows have four teats, only one udder. The udder is the large milk-secreting organ containing two or more mammary glands each provided with a single nipple.’
